I'm Captain of the Giuliana. I'm half Dutch and my family comes from the Jordaan area. I've been living in Amsterdam for more than 20 years and have been a captain and hosting people for many years now. Olivier is a youth friend of mine and together we want to give you an awesome canal experience.
THE STARGiuliana
Our 100-year-old heritage saloon boat
Built in 1925. We found her in Akkrum, brought her to the IJwerf on NDSM, and spent ten months restoring her. The original engine came out and two battery packs went in. We lowered the cabin so she fits under the low bridges, rebuilt the wooden interior, and added a covered cabin with windows all around. Officially registered as Dutch sailing heritage by Oude Glorie. Waternet-licensed for twelve guests since July 2019.

A heritage saloon boat, made for canals
Giuliana is a saloon boat from 1925, officially classified as sailing heritage of the Netherlands by Oude Glorie. We lowered the cabin and floor during restoration so she fits under bridges where larger tour boats can't go.
Comfortable in any weather, all year round
A covered cabin with windows all around, plus an open deck. Dry and warm in winter, breezy and bright in summer. Toilet, fridge, and audio on board.
